Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Baby Names Report ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit babynamesreport.com (the "Site") or buy our products. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you take our free mini quiz, create a name report, or make a purchase, you may provide your email address and the answers you enter (such as a surname, sibling names, names you like or want to avoid, and style preferences). We use these to generate your results and deliver what you asked for.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect basic usage data — pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location, browser and device type, and similar analytics — using Google Analytics 4. This helps us understand how the Site is used and improve it.
Payment information. Purchases are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number; Stripe handles card details directly under its own security and privacy practices.
Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of cookies and similar browser storage:
- Essential. When you buy access, we store an access token in your browser's local storage so the Site remembers your purchase without requiring a login. Stripe also sets cookies needed to process checkout securely. These are required for the service to work.
- Analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies (for example,
_ga) to measure traffic and usage. These are not essential. You can opt out as described below.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to provide and deliver the products you request, generate your reports and comparisons, process payments, send transactional and (if you opt in) marketing emails, measure and improve the Site, and protect against fraud or abuse.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information with service providers who help us run the Site, only as needed to perform their services:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Google Analytics — website analytics
- MailerLite — email delivery, if you provide your email
- Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Your choices and rights
- Analytics opt-out. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time.
- Access and deletion. Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and the California CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
- Do not sell or share. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Generated reports are tied to an unguessable link so you can return to them; you can ask us to delete them at any time.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults (for example, expecting parents) and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International visitors
We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed there. By using the Site, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
